Introduction
This document provides a comprehensive overview of the design basis, engineering assumptions, applicable codes, standards, and materials that govern the structural calculations performed by MKAPEB. Our software is developed to support the structural design and analysis of various steel building systems, including Pre-Engineered Buildings, Portal Frames, Truss Structures, and hybrid steel systems used in industrial, commercial, and storage applications.
The objective of this document is to clearly communicate the design criteria and methodology employed within the software to ensure compliance with recognized international and national codes, including but not limited to EN 1993-1-1, EN 1993-1-3, ANSI/AISC 360, IS 800, ACI 318, AISI S100-16, ASCE-07, IS-875.
This document presents the codes and standards supported by MKAPEB, the range of materials that can be used, the various types of loads considered in the design, and the permissible deflection limits applied. It also details the key design assumptions used in structural calculations and outlines the analysis and design workflow adopted by the software. In addition, sample design examples are included to demonstrate typical outputs.
This document serves as a technical reference for clients, design reviewers, and regulatory bodies who require transparency regarding the structural design approach embedded in MKAPEB.
