Example 3: Truss Structure 

Problem:

To assess the accuracy of MKAPEB in static analysis, a truss structure was modeled, as represented in the figure below. The structure consists of HEA300 columns, and L80x8 truss members, all made of S275 steel.

The loads were applied directly to the nodes, as illustrated in the figure below.

Results:

The support reactions as well as the displacement of the roof apex were evaluated and compared across MKAPEB and SAP2000.
